I agree with some of this. Your work gets SIGNIFICANTLY more views than anything of mine ever has. If the primary goal is income, views won’t matter if the income isn’t appropriate.

I have found good perspective that I wouldn’t consider from experts in other industries, but it rarely shows up in my recommendations. I have had to commit to digging for more obscure topics.

All that being said, this does not seem like a way to make a living unless you focus on a mainstream topic, which I’m not interested in. I am not a writer primarily, also a speaker and consultant so I look at this as a place for some of my writing to 'live’ while exposing it to an audience that wouldn’t otherwise see me. It all depends on your objective.
