I have been a Christian who has been doing community development/social justice/diversity work for 21 years, mostly in conservative circles that offered little support for my work or interest in supporting justice, especially since I was in non faith based settings.

When I suddenly saw people posting hashtags they used to ignore, I was also skeptical. I think your skepticism was justified - most of the ones I was skeptical about on my social media feed have gone back to normal life, and a handful have moved on to supporting QAnon.
