Thank you for writing this. As you may see from my highlights, a lot of this resonated with me. I also was not able to own my disability until my mid-30s because it is invisible. I meet every legal and medical definition of disabled yet I am physically well and active. I see many in my medical community who are unable to own the title because of the stigma attached to disability.
